Chef Annette (AKA That Veggie Gurl) has such an incredible story. At 29 years old, after being misdiagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, she soon realized that what was actually making her so sick was stage 4 cancer. Annette was given very little time to live, and was completely shocked that this could be happening to her at such a young age. She became obsessed with researching ways that she could improve her quality of life and increase her health. It was through this research that she discovered a plant-based diet and the power that food has to heal the body. Doctors were shocked as each test result slowly improved, and she is now completely cancer free. Her story is amazing, and she has dedicated her life to help teach as many people as possible how powerful what we put on our plate truly is.
