If you’re reading this, and you’ve read and completed Part 1 and Part 2 of the Goal Setting Challenge, AMAZING job!!! If you haven’t completed Part 1 and 2, that’s okay too! You can still join in! For those that have completed the first two parts, you should have a compiled list of life goals (in no order), as well as 3 separate papers for the 3 goals that you are choosing to go after right now. On each of those 3 sheets, you should have broken them into smaller goals and actions steps that will help you achieve the goal on the top of the sheet (if you read the Part 2 post, this will make more sense 🙂 ). So, you now have 3 sheets of smaller action steps that will move the needle forward each day if you take action on those, which is incredible! This week is evaluation time! Take 30 minutes to an hour this week, and be honest with yourself on how you did this week with your action steps. Did you take the necessary steps? Or did you forget all together? Either way is okay! The first step is taking time to be aware of what you did, and improve over time!
So this week, I challenge you to first sit down for 30 minutes to an hour to evaluate the action steps that you took. Next, I want you to pull out a calendar (paper or digital, whichever works best for you), and actually schedule times that you take these action steps! Schedule them during times where you can actually get them done! Even if it means you stay up 30 minutes later, or skip out on your routine 20 minutes of morning Facebook scrolling. Each time that you actually work on your action steps during the given time, write that down (in a notebook or in your iPhone notes)! Writing down your progress is super important! If you notice patterns with work not getting done during certain times, it will allow you to re-evaluate, and find better options that will allow you to be more successful!
But get your calendar out, schedule your action steps, and get to work! And as always, if you have questions, shoot me a message on Instagram at @drkaseyjohnson! I’m here to help, and excited to hear about your progress! You can do this!
